Our Story
The Table de Quartier Sud de l’Ouest-de-l’Île (TQSOI) is a non-profit community organisation that aims to improve the quality of life of the citizens of the southern West Island. It facilitates a roundtable and unites the citizens, elected officials from all three levels of government (municipal, provincial and federal), community organisations as well as businesses and institutions.
Our Approach
Our goal is to improve the quality of life of the citizens of the southern West Island and to promote social development. Social development enables us to establish and promote opportunities for citizens and communities to develop their potential, actively participate in social life and to take their fair share of the collective wealth. It allows the community to progress socially, culturally and economically within the context of sustainable development and in connection with principles of social justice.
Our Team
The TQSOI has a core team of employees and an engaged Board of Directors.
Our Territory
The TQSOI territory covers the cities served by the CLSC Lac Saint-Louis, in addition to the City of Dorval. This includes the following seven municipalities: Baie d’Urfé, Beaconsfield, Dorval, Kirkland, Pointe-Claire, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue and Senneville.
Our Priorities
The TQSOI helps build a shared vision for collective action in addressing pressing priorities. The TQSOI has 5 committees to address each of the priorities identified by members of the community. These committees include representatives from institutions, community organisations, municipalities, as well as citizens.
