From elected officials, non-profits and businesses to citizens of all stripes, ­­­­­West Islanders must unite to lobby for and help develop sustainable, affordable and subsidized social housing options.

Housing is deemed unaffordable if the cost is more than 30 per cent of a household’s before-tax income, according to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
